Special Board Meeting – June 02

The Miracle Workers Alliance (MWA) convened a special meeting of its Board of Directors on June 2, 2024, to address critical organizational matters. The virtual meeting, held in the eBoard Room on Discord, was called to order at 6:06 p.m. EST by President Korey G. Miracle.

Board Attendance and Key Decisions

In attendance were directors Korey G. Miracle (President), Faith Adams, Samantha Boyce, Subreina Davis, and Jordan Anderson. The meeting also welcomed guest Hailey Medina.

Purpose of the Special Meeting

President Miracle outlined the primary goals of the meeting, which included the election of a new board director to fill a vacancy, discussions on upcoming gaming events, and planning for the Board Activities Day.

Agenda Approval

The proposed agenda was approved unanimously following a motion by Subreina Davis and a second by Jordan Anderson.

Election of New Board Director

Hailey Medina was elected to fill one of the two vacant board director positions, with her term set to expire on February 28, 2025. Her election was approved unanimously by the board.

Gaming Events
1. Presenter: Korey G. Miracle
2. Discussion Points:
  1. Plans for a “Fall Guys” gaming event aimed at raising funds to secure the organization’s 501(c)(3) status.
  2. Official stream team members expressed their eagerness to participate.
  3. Marketing and advertising strategies for the event were proposed, emphasizing the role of social media.
  4. The event is scheduled to take place in about a month, accommodating the schedules of Jordan Anderson and Korey G. Miracle.
Board Activities Day for June
1. Presenter: Korey G. Miracle
2. Discussion Points:
  1. Reflecting on a missed opportunity for a May event.
  2. Samantha Boyce suggested organizing an event around June 20, the first day of summer, as a special occasion.
  3. The board unanimously approved the proposal for the next Board Activities Day to be held on June 15 at 6 p.m. EST, following a motion by Jordan Anderson and a second by Subreina Davis.

Announcements

D&D Sessions: Korey G. Miracle announced that Dungeons & Dragons sessions are scheduled for this month, with two groups of 6-8 players and one to two Dungeon Masters.

Adjournment

With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 6:44 p.m. EST, following a motion by Subreina Davis and a second by Samantha Boyce, approved unanimously.
